Our mission at Advanced Truck Driving School is to be the school of choice, providing excellence in short-term training and educational programs. We are committed to providing quality-training in a professional environment that encourages career development, personal growth and future success. Advanced Truck Driving School is dedicated to providing the training that will allow our students to learn and develop the skills necessary to be successful in the trucking industry. Our goal is simply not to just train individuals to pass the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) test, but to produce graduates that will be valued employees for some of the finest transportation companies in America. It is the philosophy of Advanced Truck Driving School that drivers of all kinds should have a full awareness of driving techniques and safety measures that will provide maximum effectiveness and safety. High industry and academic standards should be maintained. This can be accomplished through training of both hands-on behind the wheel experience, and in classroom technical training. We are dedicated to individual student progress. Having the experience of over twenty-five years in the trucking industry gives us a unique position in evaluating the needs of the trucking industry, as related to drivers. Students will work hands on with modern equipment under the supervision of qualified instructors. With this valuable “Hands On” know how, Advanced Truck Driving School has the objectives of providing education and training that will afford each individual the ability to pass State and Federal licensing and certification requirements.

HISTORY

Advanced Truck Driving School’s Visalia California location was founded by Barry Bither in 1993. Mr. Bither started as an owner operator in 1974 where he established a freight company responsible for transporting cargo throughout California called K.B. Bither Trucking. As a result of a problem in hiring qualified drivers for his own freight company, he started a program to train his own drivers. Because of the success of his training program, he began training drivers from other companies. In 1986, we opened our first school in Southern California so that we could offer our professional training programs to individuals in the local community. After years of successfully training thousands of men and women to become professional truck drivers, we saw an opportunity to provide our successful training program and employment assistance to individuals living in the Central California area. In October 1993, we opened our second school in Visalia, California. And in July of 2000, we opened our third and fourth schools in Fresno and Porterville California.

Advanced Truck Driving School is continually improving its programs in order to provide the current, cutting edge training that will best serve the needs of the students and the truck driving industry. Advanced has successfully trained thousands of students over the years and will continue to be a leader in the technical, transportation & training fields by providing quality training designed to meet the individualized needs of its students.
